Dr. Ranjith Unnikrishnan is a very experience doctor in this field. The communication and explanation of the procedures were remarkable and very friendly. He has very good knowledge and coordination in our case of my son Mohamed Raishan Ahmed with relevant doctors. As someone who was born with spinal muscular atrophy type 2, a lot of issues have been bothering me limiting me from accessing my full potential. One of these issues was scoliosis, which had been progressively getting worse since I was around 8 years old. Since then, I was trying to minimize the curvature through methods such as pillow support, lumbar jackets and even belts on my wheelchair. Words cannot express my gratitude to Dr. Ranjith Unnikrishnan. After suffering from severe sciatica pain and sleepless nights for many months, Dr. Ranjith encouraged me to undergo Endoscopic Disectomy for L4 -L5 disc bulge. Much to my surprise I felt pain free and Dr. Ranjith made me walk few hours within the surgery. He explained the procedure and answered all my doubts patiently. Initially my family was terrified of a spine surgery. But after talking to Dr. Ranjith we all got hope. His aura is something else. Talk to him and you will know he's an expert within minutes. I wouldn't have wasted few precious years of life especially as a new mother if I had known about spine surgery earlier. Pros of Endoscopic Disectomy: (unlike the common myths) 1. Minimally invasive 2. Lesser recovery period (was on my feet, completely pain free few hours after surgery) 3. Minimal hospital stay (I got discharged next day ) 4. Less risks Cons: No cons when it comes to surgery and pain relief. 1. Endoscopic Disectomy is a costly procedure. So I would recommend one to have a health insurance. (I had one and so I was able to undergo the surgery immediately) Finally,don't waste precious time in trying alternate solutions if the pain is there for a long time. The longer the time one endures the pain, the more the damage we are doing to ourselves. In my case it worsened myofascial pain. But glad Dr.Ranjith acknowledged the pain and advised me to do physiotherapy post surgery. I personally find Endoscopic Disectomy a very safe procedure. Especially getting it done by a spine expert like Dr. Ranjith Unnikrishnan, definitely one is in safe hands. It still feels like a miracle.

I’m Diya Thresia Daniel from Kollam. I am 18 years old. We reached out to Dr. Ranjith Unnikrishnan for prompt assistance in addressing the jammed nerves between C5-C6 and C6-7, all the way from Dubai on Friday, April 5th, 2024. Although my wife, Veena (known for Veena’s Curryworld), was mentally prepared for cervical spine surgery, the logistical challenges of finding the right medical facility, managing travel arrangements, and planning for post-operative care loomed large. Dr. Ranjith Unnikrishnan generously offered to evaluate Veena, conduct necessary tests, and perform the surgery on April 7th, 2024. We flew out on Friday night, arriving in Trivandrum on Saturday morning for the consultation.
