Friendly doctor and Good relief.

I did l4/l5 fusion for a recurrent herniation. Upon checking my MRI dr clearly explained the correct and optimum surgery for my condition. At first, I was reluctant for fusion as I perceived it to be a bigger surgery, but it was done endoscopically and minimally invasively, and I did not feel at all painful. Immediately after surgery, I felt relief, and within a week, I was back to feeling normal after being in debilitating sciatica pain for more than 4 months. I never thought I could be pain-free and have a normal life. The doctor was very kind and patient in all consultations and throughout the process. He is very empathetic, and I believe this is a very important quality in a doctor for us sciatica patients, as we are already dealing with so much pain and are emotionally vulnerable. I was able to fully trust the doctor's advice and recommend everyone to do so, as he has the necessary expertise to suggest the best treatment and optimal outcome for each patient. I am from Nagercoil Age 22, and I was suffering from severe leg pain due to a disc bulge. Initially, I visited a few hospitals in Nagercoil for treatment. They told me that the problem would be cured with physiotherapy within two months. I followed their advice and took physiotherapy for almost two months, but unfortunately, there was no improvement, and my leg pain became even more unbearable. Finally, based on my friends’ suggestion, I decided to visit KIMSHEALTH Hospital. One of my relatives initially thought it could be rheumatism, so for the first two weeks, I consulted a rheumatologist. After completing all the tests, the reports confirmed that it was not related to rheumatism, and they advised me to consult an orthopedic specialist. With the help of a very kind receptionist, I was guided to consult Dr. Ranjith Unnikrishnan. He carefully reviewed all my MRI scans and medical reports and explained everything clearly. Finally, he told me that the issue could be treated with a small keyhole spine surgery. I was initially very scared and nervous, but he gave me a lot of confidence and assured me that after the surgery, I would be able to walk normally again and that my pain would disappear. Trusting his words, I agreed to undergo the surgery. The surgery was done in the morning. In the evening, Dr. Ranjith came to check on me and gently woke me up from the anesthesia. With his support, I slowly got up. Then he encouraged me by saying, “Come on, man, start walking.” I was surprised, but I took my first step — and amazingly, there was no pain at all. He then asked me to walk faster, and I did. I was literally in happy tears. I thanked him sincerely, but he humbly told me not to thank him and instead thank the receptionist who guided me to the right doctor. I later met her and thanked her as well. Before the surgery, I was extremely worried because I could not walk properly, could not sleep due to severe pain, and mentally I felt very frustrated and depressed. But finally, Dr. Ranjith sir gave me my normal life back. I highly recommend him to anyone facing orthopedic problems. If you have any kind of orthopedic issue, please consult Dr. Ranjith, sir.
